I am passionate about all things nature, love spending hours outdoors bird watching, taking photos and learning about the many bird species we have here in the UK.
Creativity is a great way to access parts of yourself that you have never experienced before, something that has been huge for me over the past 5 years.
Poetry inspired by nature is also something that has been really present for me. The more I spend time sitting with nature and especially when I am bird watching at the many reserves I visit throughout the year, the more I feel connected. One of my Haikus I wrote in 2019 is visible at the top of this page.
Since 2015 I have been practicing Archery and I learned this ancient art from from an amazing man I met in Devon, his name is Gordon Monaghan and I will never forget picking up the bow and arrow with him on Dartmoor all those years ago. This is another great way to connect with yourself, nature and use it as a meditation. There is a great book I would recommend to anyone, 'Zen in the art of archery' - I am also happy to coach people in the art of archery.
My archery also took me towards my own 'Rites of passage' I completed in 2019 with 'A Band of Brothers', a charity that supports young men in the criminal justice system. Connecting to the male archetypes in support of other men is also close to my heart - this is something I can also help with, setting up Men's Circles.
